Fanfiction Net and Live Journal

Fanfiction Net is down, and Live Journal is opening very slowly for me. Time to head over to Dreamwidth?

At any rate, forum friends who can see this, we're expecting the mother of all storms to hit Wisconsin tomorrow. If I am absent, you'll know why.

No -- thunderstorm with possible tornadoes. The weather is a balmy 80 outside, which means nasty stuff a-coming.

Hi, Randy! *waves*

I am currently glad that lj opens for me at all, for me - this afternoon, it was unavailable for hours. Apparently, first we had massive DDos Attacks directed at some political journaĺs, and now everybody and their dog try to access lj again at once. having a Dreamwith Journal as reserve might not be the worst idea.

BTW, here is mine (still empty at the moment, though):

And FFN's new glitch session is a pain in the behind... Login is impossible for me, at the moment.

Meanwhile, I wish you luck for the Thunderstorm. We have wonderful sunny weather at te moment, but had storm nevertheles these last two days (albeit without thunder and lightning).

FFN is missing forum posts now. I haven't even tried to log in or post a reply. And true to form, there's not a mention of it on the front page.

Everyone seems to be stampeding away from Live Journal, but since I have two paid accounts, I'm not eager to abandon ship -- at least for my stories. I probably need a Dreamwidth account to keep up with my F-list, though.

I broke down and got a DreamWidth account going during the last DDoS spate at LJ - surgsteelfic was nice enough to give me a code. Only have the one opening entry up, but I'm there as Aearwen, if you get started.

Man, you guys back there have been hammered this year! Sending warm and safe thoughts your way, and wishes that winter finally lets go of your corner of the world soon.

I may need a Dreamwidth invitation code from some kind soul or be left as roadkill on the social networking highway. :(

Invite Code
Invite Code has been sent to you. I am not sure if I would wish to stampede to Dreamwith and abandon LJ, yet, though - for now, Dreamwith is rather a fallback journal for me. LJ is doing their very best to keep up and going despite being attacked by several DDos Attacks from people who wish to silence some political LJ journals (or this is what lj claims), so I don't think it's fair to drop them like a hot potato. Anyway...Feel welcome to us the code I sent to you. :)

Did you heard what Rob Matts said about that?
